Fight for your dreams...

Writer: TommyTommy

What are the most important things in life?

There's no question about it, if you reached the end of life and have not made your dreams come true, will you have lived? So what is the goal of living then?

Nothing is easy in this world. You start off with something difficult,  you’ll learn to walk. You fall many times you don’t remember but it was freaking tough. Not just that, it’s frustrating, you see everybody else do it, but you can’t, and you wonder why it looks so easy.

It took time, but you did it. Then, it was not over, you learned to talk, to ride a bike, to tie your shoes, run, compete, sing, play an instrument, video games, maths, grammar… The list goes on…

You also took your place in this world, and even when you failed at a certain success performance-wise, you did take a spot of your own. Whether you followed the social standards or not, you’ve achieved a certain basic level of living. Work, pay the bills, play…

Let’s just call that ‘surviving’. You got a job, you’re paying your bills, you’re doing like everyone else for retirement. Following the model of society. You have food, shelter, your basic needs are covered. You have heat, electricity, wifi and everything to keep you comfortable. You do all of those things because you live in the system, and it needs you to make it turn the right way to be functional, but…

Are you working to live, or living to work?

For sure if you love your job and you’ve made that dream a reality this might not apply to you, but many people don't like their jobs. They end up escaping the 9 to 5 on the weekend to compensate for the accumulated frustrations of life. We compensate with things that make us feel good but are just filling us up temporarily. But life passes by, time does not stop.

‘Go to school for 20 years, work for 40 year, retire 20 years’ and that’s it. That is what the model of society is all about. They got us clamped down with payment on a xbox, playstation, a house or a car, buying the clothes of the year, the new trends of whatever else, compensate with chocolate, chips, coffee, alcohol, you name it. It keeps us docile… stuck in a job that often we don't like to pay all that. Trying to perform, either in production of something or burn out in the management team. Then people retire, old, tired, when they give their best year of healthy young vibrant energy to companies and let their dreams vanish in the faded memories of themselves.

Luckily there are followers, because the system would not function. That is why it takes all kinds of people in the world. But you, you have a chance to wake up to the opportunity of truly living…

One step higher

What if you want more out of your own life? Because it’s your life.  Are you living for society? Are you living so that the system functions?

What if we would change the basic needs of human beings and add; self expression. Making our dreams come true…

As an example; Artists go on hours into a project sometimes even forgetting to eat. This might have happened to you before when reading a good book, or doing something you enjoy and that is exciting. You fall into a state of ‘flow’ and forget about everything, even your hunger, a basic need. But maybe, making our dreams come true IS a basic need to be happy in our lives. Maybe this is something we realize when it’s too late, old, and looking back. But no one dares to tell the others to wake up.

What is truly living

Whatever place you find in this world doesn’t mean you’re truly living. Making your dreams come true is one step higher. It is nothing compared to making your dreams a reality. And no matter how hard or impossible it seems, what matters is that you try. You might be surprised if you give it all you are, something usually turns out.

If there’s only one life you live, what is the most important thing you can do? Freaking live it! Right?

So what does it take to make your dreams come true?

It takes guts. Not being afraid of being different. Doing things that are different from what people say you should do or you should be. It might go against social conditioning, the standards of things.

It takes effort. First, in honouring who you are and your unique self. And to do that you’ll have to stop being a follower…  You’ll start to be a leader just because you begin the journey of being unique.

To make your dreams come true you have to go beyond what is. Beyond who you already have become, otherwise your dreams would already be a reality. If they are not, it’s because you need to change to get there.

Some people might criticize you for that. For trying to step out of the trenches they are also stuck in. They might judge you, try to scare you into not doing it. To warn you and discourage you and keep you close by in the system with them. They might just be  jealous and secretly want to be able to do the same thing for themselves but don't have the guts to do so.

It also takes investment in yourself. You might need to sacrifice certain things financially, and time-wise as well. It might look like a sacrifice to others but what it truly is, is an investment in yourself.

It takes a major effort and it’s not easy, and it’s ok this way.

The whole system is geared in a different direction and you’ll be going against the grain. It’s not necessarily made to help you to make your dreams come true so that’s why you need to fight for your dream.

It’s not just putting an effort and following a goal, It’s really a battle that goes on inside of you not necessarily outside.

A lot of times all of these social conditioning are acting as little inner rules inside of us. We are the ones who don’t allow ourselves to pursue our dreams. To face criticism or rejection, to face our own fears, and that’s where most of the battle occurs, inside.

So if most of the battle occurs inside, this means that you have a certain power over it by changing your perception of things, of yourself, of the world. Also giving more value to your own creativity, your own passion. You have to show your unconscious mind that you are willing to invest all your energy, your resources, finances and time for it. All of who we are because you are your dreams. And so when you accept to fight for your dreams, you fight for yourself. You are defending your true core identity and you are honouring your true self. Hence, truly living… this brings you to a level of commitment where you are willing to imprint onto the matrix of this universe who you truly are.

It takes a major effort and it’s not easy. Why would it be anyway? If I give you your dream already made tomorrow, wouldn't it be less exciting? What value would it have, not as much as if you fight for it, battle the ups and downs and finally get there, right? The journey and all the effort you put in gives it all the value of your accomplishment.

So; effort, difficulty, journey, being different and unique… is good.

And when you do make that dream a reality or move a bit more towards it everyday, you become in resonance with the universe.

You know where to go now right?

Self expression, self realization. Expressing yourself fully in the form of making your dreams come true is one of the most important things in life because you leave an imprint of who you are in this world.

You’re not truly living until you decide to make your dreams a reality. Then you have a mission. You know where you're going…

And when you do, you become in resonance with the universe…

Keep rockin’ your world
