Authenticity
If you look back and all the times that you were the happiest in your life, my guess is; you were the most authentic as well. You were expressing your true self. It might be because of the social conditioning that repressed us early in our young age, when we try to fit in with our friends in society, to feel accepted by the world. We slowly started playing a role, in which we were fading our authentic self a little bit more every day.
In the book ‘Tommy in the Attic’ the witch, Parmelia, says to Tommy; …as she points into the direction of a hidden passage between the stones. “In there you will face yourself. This is where you will find your power…
…Once you have faced yourself, your power shall reveal itself to you. If you pass this test, you will conquer your old self… Trust, and you will find the treasure that will free the world from its endless sleep.”
This is the challenge. Be your true self. Step out of the old false personality you have created to fit in. Find what makes you, ‘you’. Your passion, your dream. Then, make that dream come true. That will be the ultimate self expression. One of the best moments of your story of life…
You have one life. We all do. The question here is; what are you doing with it?
Light it up!
To make it essential to generate that feeling of excitement of living. To allow ourselves to dream and make our dreams come true. To take on new challenges, because life is made of these moments where we are true to ourselves.

When we dream, and take on these new adventures, we connect to our authenticity. We can rekindle ourselves in our self expression.
Self expression and Happiness
These magic moments where we are fully authentic, create our daily joy. The fact that we are living in our full authenticity removes everything else that can stop us from being in a state of joy. Remember; Daily joy=happiness. It is because we experience joy often that we can look at our lives and say we are happy.
But what creates joy? Many things. Things from outside as well. But the joy doesn't last, its temporary satisfaction more than joy.

The things that fulfill us truly are self expression, and I mean from our true self. When you express who you are truly, you leave your mark in the universe. There is nothing more satisfying than making your dream a reality, share who you are with friends or someone you love. ‘You’ resonates with others and the world.
Detours
So why do we waste so much time doing anything else?
Pursuing endless performance, acquiring money, and so many other things that pulls us the way from just one thing; being in joy.
We take endless detours on this path to happiness and self expression. We even stretch our personality to the extent of not being truly ourselves and, even to a point of getting lost in a ton of unrelated skills and activities that promise us fulfillment. We seek it in acceptance, in temporary pleasures with food, alcohol, chocolate or other addictions, satisfactions in bouts of shopping. Of endless nights of brainwashing, movies after movies or on the internet or any form of consumption.

All of these things and activities keep us hypnotized and satisfied. They temporarily fulfill an inner need for something more. A void created by the lack of connection with our true self and our relationship to the world.
On the beat of life
When we stay on that level, we continue the cycle of superficial void fulfilling activities.
We endlessly try to fill the inner emptiness with anything, instead of pouring out onto the world who we truly are.
In this sense here, we can see that giving is more powerful than taking. Because when we give ourselves to the world, we get so much more in return… It is a paradox. Giving should empty us, wouldn’t it? But it doesn’t. When we give who we are by being 100% authentic, we are filled from the inside. The universe responds in resonance within and you start to live on the beat of life!

If your lost, look at your dreams
So whenever there’s a clash in our minds between reality and making our dreams come true, for whatever reason, we get depressed. We get further away from our true self.
When we don’t believe that we deserve to make our dreams come true or that we act in that way we don’t honour and respect our inner calling, we move further away from our true self.
Even if we do believe in our aspirations, sometimes we act against them because we were thought to act differently. Our social conditioning is so strong, that it has created a second nature within us, a new limiting personality trait.
When we start to accept our true self we naturally honour our deepest desires. Your dream reflects who you are. If you give yourself a real chance in life, it means that you love and accept who you are. You give yourself the chance to be authentic.
Embark on a quest with the story of Tommy in the Attic.
